In Spe Well this is special. I get hints of early favorites such as Beyond The Sea Lies the Stars or Phosphene Weather, only with a dozen years of added know-how and surely hardware inbetween. Do yourself a favour.

da5idh A labour of love and it shows throughout this soundtrack to a virtual life in a far away place. Immersive earth bound tones, grounded but free to follow where the heart takes you. Favorite track: Tarrey Town Embers.

Daniel Daniel The legend uniquely conveyed here was long ago locked into my heart as a place of wonder. Spacious, contemplative, and warm, the ambience here is a suitable companion to the impression these games have made in my soul. Favorite track: A White-Maned Rider / Blood Moon.

about

It's taken me almost three years, but I've finally returned from my second long trek through Hyrule, following my solo polysynth travelogue on MMD044, and what better timing could I have than to arrive during the 35th anniversary of The Legend Of Zelda? Indeed, when exploring Hyrule's many delights and dangers, it is easy to forget that you are already a part of the land's rich histories. You, the one holding the controller.

On offer here are several impressionistic portraits of places, events, heroes and villains that all play a part, either great or small, in the diverse ecologies of Hyrule. Like the traveling minstrel Kass, my recordings conjure up images of sweet romance and silver bladed battle, magical blessings and lost castle curses, sacrifices and resurrections, vibrant wildlife and the black doom of death. Sunken kingdoms, spell-struck maidens, spirits full of longing, ghosts driven by vengeance...all of this, and more, are at the very foundations of Hyrule. Here before you are three circular tomes, not unlike the Sheikah Slate, that contain laser-etched music, wordless songs that will call you back to the green land and the blue lakewater, onward into the careening cliffs and their ruin-dotted mountainpeaks, and further still to the yellow-purple Gerudo desert and the lonesome shores of the Necluda sea.

Here and now, by this small fire, we can relive these places and times together! How close they feel, just inside the threshold of those flames! Always alive in our minds, yet forever just out of reach. Soon enough, you and even I will be compelled to return, when these harp-strums fall flat in contrast to the hint of another adventure. For now, rest in this quaint village they call Tarrey Town, and revel in the sounds of the forever dreaming land of Hyrule.
