During the many Vibratelepathos sessions undertaken in the 2020-2021 period (see: vibratelepathos.bandcamp.com ), several sessions were distinctly kept apart from the series catalog due to their sound sources or processes overlapping with different session headers. Where the River Ores sessions focus solely upon exploring Karplus Strong synthesis, and the Red Lamps sessions all originate from the use of a Bliptronic 5000 polyphonic digital synthesizer, the two sessions presented here utilize both of these disciplines harmoniously.

Recorded in April and May of 2021, Silver Ore and River Garden feel very much a part of the Vibratelepathos landscape - recordings that may never have been produced at all, if the Vibra series were not actively following the paths it continues to wander, with generative music and unorthodox modular synthesis remaining the focus - and yet, in many other ways, they feel almost like pre-Vibra ambient Milieu recordings, with passages and motifs that recall albums like A Dusty Box, Daughter, Transposition Gradients and Of The Apple.

However listeners choose to approach these recordings, they remain versatile and utilitarian - able to be used for meditation, sleep aid, reading accompaniment, a substituted gaming soundtrack, warm bath soaks or even a backdrop for creative work like writing, design or programming. In this sense, Milieu music lives fully up to its name, as an element designed to become a part of a given atmosphere, ambient listening in every possible meaning of the term. I myself have slept, read, written and simply laid still with these pieces since their manifestation, and tonight, when my entire township is blanketed in snow, they feel apt as gifts to pass on for the wider world to enjoy.
