Tidewater Petrol was recorded in 2009, during the same sessions as the MML061 EP of the same name, and originally intended to be released shortly after. However, due to numerous unforeseen things, such as label-related delays, personal changes in taste, and so on, the Petrol album ended up in the Milieu Music vaults for a few years. I always liked it, but after recording and releasing its follow-up H Is For Hologram, I almost felt it was better to leave Petrol unreleased. After lots of prodding from my friends who seem to love these songs, as well as those rose-tinted glasses of nostalgia going over my eyes after a few years passed, I think it is finally time to let Petrol have its day in the sunshine. So here it is, a playful album of psychedelic Milieu melodies with bright blissed chords, funky basslines and the usual drum programming that isn't quite sure if it's ready for the dancefloor or the bedroom.

Additionally, in the spirit of releasing this full-length, I've also decided to reissue the original MML061 EP, which I'm told has some pretty cracking tunes on it.

PSC, wherever you may be, this is for you.
