Assembled by hand, one copy at a time, in the White Pillar Workshop! Just for you, this clean white 5" recordable disc is etched via the laser-arm of a D20 duplication machine, kissed with ink and placed snugly inside a white cardboard jacket bearing a custom vintage 3.5mm floppy disk label (retrieved from the deep archives of forgotten office supplies in a Daytonian warehouse) on the front cover, informing you in a clear and concise way which broadcast you're listening to. Almost all of the CD-R editions of the Vibratelepathos material have been edited for runtime to fit on a CD-R, but between you and I, it's really hard to tell the difference!

While the world outside your door darkens as Mother Nature's modern mutant silently menaces almost every aspect of your life, I've done my best to fortify myself and my family within the White Pillar Workshop, and I've set to work immediately upon an ongoing set of "broadcasts" that will deliver the one thing I can distribute from my studio to the entire world: Music. Anxiety-reducing, fantasy-enacting, holistic vibrations that may not cure sickness or stop time, but they can and will absolutely bring comfort and calmness to people whose lives are otherwise in chaos.
These broadcasts have been carefully recorded using generative systems of hardware/software, including a modest modular synthesizer configuration, multitrack tape, analog and digital effects devices and a flexible DAW for the finishing touches. The resultant audio is beautiful but also benign, depending on what you need it to be and when. It functions at normal volumes or very low levels, it will work for sleeping or meditation, it can be cast in the background as you read or bathe. It maintains a stillness, but also provides gentle stereo movements if you're wearing headphones. It is the closest thing I may have ever done to an all-purpose new age sound environment. There is no set limit to the amount of broadcasts in this series - it will remain ongoing until it is either no longer necessary or I am no longer able to maintain it.
For now, be kind, stay safe and try your best to remain healthy and happy until we can all be together again.
NOTE: Until otherwise indicated, this series will remain digital format only. Shipping physical goods is not advisable or safe given the level of the viral outbreak in my residential area. Hopefully, this will change, but unless/until it does, I'm staying away from the post office as much as possible.
NOTE II: Greenest Grass Whitest Clouds is the beautiful combination of my oft-cited Grass Click-Tone Control Module (a piece of medical laboratory equipment that I have repurposed as a tone generator) and the immensely versatile Clouds texture synthesizer by Mutable Instruments. As with many of the sessions for these Broadcasts, the sound of the Grass was conveyed through the medium of multitrack cassette tape, layered into four harmonic pitches at four different IPS. A bit of actual loss in translation occurred, as the original tape was recorded using my Tascam 414 machine (with Dolby noise reduction) and this session saw the same tape played back on my Vesta Fire MR-10B machine (which uses very different dbx noise reduction). Both machines also run at totally different speeds, so interesting artifacting was present as well. The signal was routed in and out of my Clouds module alongside my modest Eurorack rig, containing four modules from the green series by SSDP Synthesis, incorporating additional CV animation via the Korg MS-20 and three Moogerfoogers. From there, it was routed into my Peavey mixer, which is currently configured to function as an "Autofugue" generative setup involving signal multiplication, timed delays and pitch shifting, among other things. Final audio repair and mastering work were completed on the evening of April 19th, using a DAW primarily running Arturia filtering and reverberation tools.
NOTE III: I have been unable to reach my dispensary as of late, given the outside circumstances, so light something up for me. Happy Fourtwenty of Fourtwenty.
