about

The third collection of Vibratelepathos arrives at the end of a mild Summer, and includes disc-length edits of broadcasts number forty-one through sixty, offering over twenty-four hours of audioholistic utility in the form of beatless generative ambient music.

The Vibratelepathos series has grown exponentially, in tandem with the continuous expansion of my studio hardware configuration and my R-EW Audioholistics modular synthesizer - the latter now occupying eight racks of space, a far cry from its small stature when the series was drafted in 2020. The various session headers, as I like to call them, refer to the primary voice or process explored on a given recording, and this method of titling formats has helped to organize the series as it expands, allowing newcomers and seasoned listeners alike to navigate the many pieces.

In this third volume of work, there are perennial sessions such as 'River Ores' (Karplus-Strong voices) and 'Greenest Grass' (the Grass Click-Tone Control Module), as well as a monolithic tripartite third iteration of 'The Color of an Echo' (feedback), but there are a few new session headers offered here as well: three iterations of 'Anichroma' (Yamaha TX81Z), two iterations of 'Blue Emerald Halftone (the Buchla 200 system), 'Earthly Branches' (Behringer's 921 oscillator, a recreation of the Moog System 55) and 'Fabled Key' (the Arturia Microfreak). The varied sources of these studies and patch explorations have yielded reams of colorful generative music, each piece unlike the last, and still somehow familiar, perhaps due to my own personal involvement.

It is thanks to these wildly different machines that I feel the Vibratelepathos series can continue without really repeating itself too much, and in some ways, it has now outgrown its original purpose of providing a calm disconnect from a crazy and upsetting outside world - it has managed to become a symbolist mirror of my studio processes, my philosophical interests and my creative curiosity. Looking back at these twenty-four sessions, it is plain to see the ground I've traveled across, and I sincerely hope that these sessions offer you some respite from the chaos and noise too.

N.B. Vibratelepathos continues to offer a monthly subscription service for only $9.99 a month. Subscribers receive two public catalog releases per month, and one subscriber-exclusive private release as well. In addition, subscribers are granted immediate access to over forty subscriber-exclusive releases, plus the latest five public releases in the catalog, the moment they join the service. It is also worth noting here that these collected volumes of Vibra material use disc-length edits of the music in order to assemble the box sets, and quite often the subscription versions of the releases run for much longer than the length of a single CD.
