'A Cloak of Flowers' is an assemblage built out of reprocessing and overlaying multiple iterations of a shorter ten-minute segment of music, itself an outtake from the 'Zephyrean' overnight broadcast on February 10th, 2023. It originated as a self-oscillating Doepfer bandpass filter playing a Lydian scale, and was further shaped by the Frequency Blend processor in Goldwave alongside other filters, modulators and delays.

As 'Zephyrean' was emblematic of Spring's arrival, 'A Cloak of Flowers' recalls this year's milder Spring season during what seems to be an equally mild and rainy Summer, although the season is still only recently begun, and it could simply be taking longer to awaken. Dulcet and glassy tones reverberate in a shimmering wreath around our heads, at times saturating the air and receding into a mere bronze-green tint at others. This piece would pair well with a breezy outdoor walk, sitting in the grass and watching the clouds move by, and is guaranteed to make those things seem as if they are moving too fast by comparison.
